Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

By far the WORST dryer I have ever owned/operated.

Never Buying Maytag Again 5/3/2019

If you want to wait 3+ hours for 4 towels to dry then this is the unit for you. This unit has a lifespan of less than 3 years, if you are lucky. When drying time went from several hours to infinite we called in a professional to have a look. Cost of repairs surpasses the value of the unit. Even repair tech commented that this unit had the smallest heating element he had ever seen, as well as two motors (double the potential for problems). Have never had an appliance last such a short time. Will never buy Maytag again.

Died After 3 Years

ThomasP 12/27/2018

This unit was purchased 6/2015. It did a great job until 12/18 in which the drum stopped spinning. Technician from extended warranty visited said the motor died. Notified yesterday that the part is no longer manufactured and the extended warranty insurance company would contact me to the "buyout". Same thing happened to the washer 6 months ago that was purchased with this set. Unbelievable that this would occur with both Maytag items within this time frame. Buyer beware. Do not recommend.

Terrible Quality

Lemonhunter 9/21/2018

One year past the warranty and after the third service request due to a bad motor, the item can not even be replaced because it doesn't exist anymore. This dryer is so bad that Maytag stopped making or buying parts from someone else for it. The item is more than a year old and already no parts area available. Lemons are falling from the sky. I will never purchase another Maytag again.

DO NOT BUY!!!

Another_Unhappy_Customer 3/23/2018

During the first year of owning this brand new machine, we had to call for repairs 3-4 times. After the year warranty, our dryer went out twice again (this is in less than 2 years with this dryer) and recently the heating element was replaced after a diagnostics test which confirmed that was the problem and after being replaced, it dried 1 load before it went out again! DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE! I would not recommend Maytag as we had a Maytag washer also which we had to replace after the 1 year warranty. Very poorly made products.

Failed Immediately

10/5/2017

We bought a stackable washer and dryer for a seasonal home. The sensors for the sensor dry cycle failed immediately on the dryer. It took over 2 weeks and 5 hours on the telephone to get the dryer fixed.

Nice and knowledgeable repairman

Susan in St. Louis 2/16/2017

My washer was loud and moving a bit when in use, but the repairman told me that this is what small washers do, so I now know that nothing is wrong. I wish it didn't do that, but at least I know it isn't a leveling or drum imbalance issue.

So far, so good

2/5/2017

My first Maytag compact set lasted 8 years with constant use. This new dryer is more noisy than the old unit, but it dries much better. The controls are less computerized, so I hope have less issues. The stacking unit is far less secure than the previous model, but works ok so far. Just a bit of movement while the washer spins. The one thing I don't like about this dries is it's inability to turn completely off after it's cycle. After the cycle times out, it will beep and the tub will spin every couple of minutes. It has kept me from starting a load before I go to sleep. I always feel uncomfortable not turning it off. Could find nothing about this feature in the manual

Lot of trouble with heating.

SRS 12/23/2016

Maytag replaced this unit after lot of trouble with heat not working. But I same problem started with the new unit just after one year. The company says now it is not under warranty. I repaired this couple of time, with replacing the heating elements. Agiain it is not working. Not a wise choice buying YMED7500YW Dryer.

Perfect for my needs and great features for a small washer

11/18/2016

My old small space washer and dryer died recently and there are not a lot of options out there --kind of take what you can get. My new stackable washer dryer arrived last week. It looked just like the old one, but wonderfully, it is so different. The dryer works very similar to the old one, but is much quieter (think small space, small house, so quiet is very helpful)--you still know the dryer is running, but it's more muffled. The washer has lots of features I so wanted in my old washer -- i.e. the automatic selections (intimates, "normal" etc) can all be overridden with the water temp you need. That is a huge improvement. So, so far so good. If anything changes, I'll be back on line to change my review.

Frustrated

Elainedominique 3/12/2016

I got this washer less than a yr ago. It worked pretty good in the beginning, after awhile it started acting up. I'd load it up, put detergent, set on rapid wash and hit start. Then there's that delay. The door locked light is on, the draining/unlocking light is blinking, the wash is set for 30 mins, the start light is solid green, then the door locked light starts blinking. I open the door and close it to secure it and start the while process over. It takes me at least 45 mins to get this thing to start. Sometimes I just give up and try again the next day. I'm actually writing my review now because this is what I am going through now and it is frustrating.

Very dissapointed

Ottawa Brian 11/19/2015

I have owned this for about two years. After one year, the moisture sensitive setting stopped working. Now, after 2 years, it does not work at all and will cost $700 to fix. This model is definitely not worthy of the maytag name - something that dies after two years is unacceptable.

Solid Compact Machine

9/23/2015

Bought this a few months ago to replace a compact stacked unit by GE. The new Maytag unit is stackable but can also be used separately, which makes it MUCH easier to get in and out of a tight space. It has decent capacity for such a small machine and operates quietly. The switchgear feels a bit cheap, but it dries well.

2nd New Dryer Not Working on Timed Dry. 3rd Dryer on the Way

Dryer Nightmare 8/25/2015

I bought Maytag because they promote themselves as "The Dependability People" and am so disappointed. Brand new dryer would not heat on the timed dry cycle. They replaced with another unit and it has the same issue. The other cycles heat fine so we know it's hooked up properly. Also, what is with a dryer having a separate power on/off switch? The retailer will not return the unit because it doesn't work so now I'm stuck with this dryer and just getting replacement after replacement. What a nightmare.

no match to the washer

8/21/2015

I bought the washer and dryer as a set this august. when it was delivered I noticed the washer was whiter then the dryer and the side panel (which you can see in my utility room) does not match, the dryer has a flat panel the washer is raised. when I called to complain I was told that's the way it is and that they are to different appliances. Then why was it sold as a set. I was also told there is nothing that can be done. very disappointed with maytag.

Awful Machine, Waste of Time and Money

Dryerwithnoheat 4/2/2015

Because of the size of my laundry room, I had very limited options for my dryer. During its second drying cycle, the second day I had it, the heating element went out. Instead of replacing it, Maytag said they'd repair it. They sent someone out at the end of the week. A week later, the control panel went out. Now, I have to wait another week for the part to come in, and have to take another day off work. This dryer is junk and I won't dare to spend a dime on another Maytag in the future. I'd say how much I dislike the buzzer not being able to turn off, but I seldom here it since the mchine has been broken most of the time I've had it.

Good Dryer

joan2015 2/18/2015

I normally, line dry my clothes. This is for back up only and for fluffing clothes. The dryer works great. My only complaint is that it does not have a pure heat free cycle for fluffing. I have a small space for my washer/dryer combination and it has to stack. This is perfect for that! We have small loads so this size also works.

Compact yet power packed!

maya41 2/12/2015

I bought this dryer after purchasing an all-in-one unit which took over five hours to wash and partially dry a small load. This dryer functions well especially if the load is small. I like the fact that it has three cycles (timed, cotton and synthetics). It offers many choices within each cycle even a 'damp iron mode'. I am disappointed that here is no indicator either a dial or digital display to show how much time remains in the cycle. This is surprising since the companion washer has a count down clock.

Time dry give cold air.

Guang 9/22/2014

I bought this 8 month ago.I like it, except time dry give cold air all others are okay. Repair technician came 3 times can not solve the problem. Finally, he said this machine has changed design, the time dry is giving cold air. I write this here is trying to find someone like me to have same problem. Or confirm this is what it is, not the problem. However online introduction is still say all 11 heating.

Would not buy this again

bjwestover 9/2/2014

I purchased this unit 4 months ago, but finally received it 2 months ago. My selections were limited to dryers less than 27" wide and non-condensing. This was the option I found. Of course, the very same Whirlpool model was being sold, but the only difference is the label on the machine. In the end, I didn't know whether my machine would come with a Maytag or Whirlpool label. Didn't really matter to me.The things that DO matter to me are where this machine falls very short.* The lint trap is clumsy and hard to clean;* Power remains on even when the cycle has ended. So, theoretically, the red light could be illuminating for weeks if you mistakenly left a load of laundry in the dryer before leaving for vacation. Why?* Whirlpool/Maytag might say the reason for leaving the light on is so the machine can continue to tumble to prevent wrinkling if clothes are left after the buzzer buzzes. But that would be a misrepresentation because this dryer wrinkles everything that is not synthetic! Even very small loads of cotton items with plenty of room to tumble and removed immediately when just damp dried come out more wrinkled than I've ever known my clothes could get.* And the buzzer . . . plenty of other reviewers have bemoaned the fact that the buzzer cannot be turned off. It seems a silly feature to omit, even on a low-end unit. However, from my perspective, the buzzer is not the issue. I never even hear it. It is very quiet compared to the grinding, churning sound that accompanies the loudest appliance I have ever heard. My unit is in my basement. My home office in two floors up from the basement. Yet, I hear the constant grrrrrrrrrrrrr sound of this dryer through it's entire cycle. I can't hear the buzzer in my upstairs office - I know the dryer is done b/c of the lack of annoying grinding from the basement dryer.Despite being small, this dryer can dry a Queen sized comforter. Nothing else can be in the load with it, but still it does one thing I need it to do.There are few vented, compact dryers on the market. It's disappointing that this is not a good option. While I say I wouldn't buy it again, I'm not even sure if I have a choice of something better that is compact and vented. It's hard to put clothes out on the line in the winter in WI.
